This Privacy Policy describes how aswego ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our iOS application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Overview
Information We Access
The App requests access to the following information solely to provide its features:
Notifications
The App sends local push notifications to remind you when it is time for the next feeding, and a follow-up reminder if a scheduled feed is missed. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using information you have already entered (last feeding time and your baby's age). No notification content is transmitted externally.
Data You Create in the App
The App stores the following data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework:
- Feeding records — timestamp, duration, and breast side (left, right, or both)
- Baby profile — name and birthday
- Parent profile — role (Mom or Dad)
If you are signed in to iCloud, this data may be synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service so it is available across your Apple devices. This sync goes to your own private iCloud account — we have no access to it.
Feeding data is also shared with the App's home screen and lock screen widgets via a secure on-device App Group. This data never leaves your device through this mechanism.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following Apple platform service:
Apple iCloud / CloudKit
Used to sync your feeding records and settings across your own Apple devices. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. iCloud sync is optional and only active if you are signed in to iCloud.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Location data
- Contacts or address book data
- Account credentials or email addresses
- Payment or financial information (the App is free with no in-app purchases)
- Advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking data
- Crash reports or usage analytics sent to our systems
- Any data on our own servers — we have none
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for use by parents and caregivers and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not collect data on our own servers, there is no data for us to delete, but if you have concerns please contact us using the details below.
Your Rights and Choices
Because all data is stored on your device or in your personal iCloud account, you remain in full control:
- Delete app data: Delete the App from your device to remove all locally stored data.
- Disable iCloud sync: Sign out of iCloud or disable iCloud for aswego in your device Settings.
- Disable notifications: Change in your device Settings → Notifications → aswego.
Security
All data is processed and stored using Apple's native frameworks (SwiftData, CloudKit), which benefit from Apple's platform-level security, including hardware-backed encryption on your device and end-to-end encryption for iCloud data where supported.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
